Ground and Flow: Movement, Breath & Awareness
Stress lives in the body and mind - and so does the solution. This 6-week workshop series offers practical tools for grounding and flow through a unique blend of movement, breath, and awareness practices.

ABOUT JANU SUNG

Janū Sung was raised in a Buddhist household and influenced by meditation, martial arts, and East Asian traditions, shaping a strong foundation in mindful movement. As a young adult, he spent a year in Asia studying yoga and meditation across India, Thailand, and South Korea, deepening his understanding of breath and presence. He received his yoga certification from Rishikesh Yogpeeth and was raised under the Kwan Um Lineage of Zen.

Best known for his work in street and club dance and community organizing, Janū is a representative of the Seattle House Dance community and teaches regularly at The Beacon Studio. He has worked with the Seattle Art Museum, Circle of Fire Crew, Sekoū Herū, Dani Tirrell, Amy O’Neal, The Henry Art Gallery, Massive Monkees Crew, and more.

In this course, Janū brings these practices together, fusing mindfulness, breathwork, and dance to offer a grounded and intentional movement experience that emphasizes flow, awareness, and embodied expression.
